Our Rector: ‘Our University Transforms Knowledge into Social Benefit’
Speaking at the programme, our Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Yılmaz stated that universities are not merely institutions that produce knowledge, but also places where the knowledge produced is transformed into social benefit.
Our Rector noted that baked goods are produced within the Tokat Vocational School's Culinary Arts Programme and that our university also produces goods for coeliac patients. Our Rector continued his speech as follows: "The production of goods for coeliac patients is important. As a university, we pay particular attention to this issue. In addition, our students are also receiving training in this area. Our main goal is to train our students in gluten-free product production so that they can apply this knowledge and skills in businesses after graduation. As a university, we aim to produce gluten-free bread and other products with the wheat we produce. We will also distribute these products free of charge to approximately 50 celiac patients in need." Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Fatih Yılmaz, concluded his speech by thanking those who contributed to the organisation of the programme.
The Event Concluded with Gluten-Free Product Serving and Cake Cutting
