The Accreditation Process for Our Culinary Arts & Tourism and Hotel Management Programmes Has Been Successfully Completed

Our Vocational School's Hotel, Restaurant and Catering Services Department has successfully completed the accreditation process for its ‘Cookery’ and ‘Tourism and Hotel Management’ programmes.

At the beginning of 2025, our programmes applied to the Vocational Education Evaluation and Accreditation Association (MEDEK). After passing the preliminary application and self-evaluation stages, they underwent a field evaluation on 13 October 2025 by MEDEK field evaluators: Team Leader Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özgür Kızıldemir, Evaluators Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatma Doğanay Ergen, Lecturer Ela Nazlı Köz, Lecturer Oğuz Çolak, Lecturer Ramazan İnan, and Student Evaluator Research Assistant Simge Altınöz, conducted a ‘Field Evaluation’. As of 15 October 2025, the accreditation process has been successfully completed.

During the accreditation process, we would like to express our gratitude to our Rector, Prof. Dr. Fatih Yılmaz, who provided all the resources of our University, our Vice-Rectors, the Director of our Vocational School, Dr. Lecturer Bekir Doğan, the Secretary of our Vocational School, Ümit Çukurçayır, and our Department Heads who contributed to the process. We would like to thank the MEDEK evaluators who worked tirelessly throughout the process, our Deputy Director Lecturer Dr Bilal Okan İÇMEZ, our Deputy Director Lecturer Kemal Ergün, and our Tourism and Hotel Management programme teaching staff, including Department Head Dr Selim Çakar, Dr. Lecturer İ. Cemal Gençay, Lecturer Birgül Köstek, Lecturer Murat Güler, Lecturer Fikret Gürses, and from our Culinary Arts programme teaching staff, Lecturer Sinan Keskin, Lecturer Ercan Polat, and Lecturer Sevim Zeynep Bekler, along with all the staff of our Vocational School
